US & UK Landmark AI Agreement
The US and UK have signed a landmark AI agreement. The agreement builds on the AI Safety Summit held in Bletchley Park (November 2023). Cybersecurity has been at the forefront of this landmark agreement.

1. “The deal represents the first bilateral arrangement on AI safety in the world and comes as governments push for greater regulation of the existential risks from new technology, such as its use in damaging cyber attacks or designing bioweapons.” Financial Times
2. “The two AI safety testing bodies will develop a common approach to AI safety testing that involves using the same methods and underlying infrastructure…The bodies will look to exchange employees and share information with each other “in accordance with national laws and regulations, and contracts.” The release also stated that the institutes intend to perform a joint testing exercise on an AI model available to the public.” TIME
3. “Both countries plan to share key information on capabilities and risks associated with AI models and systems and technical research on AI safety and security.” The Guardian
Cybersecurity will be key in ensuring responsible, trusted, secure and safe AI systems and tools.
